My Story

Currently treating teens and adult females in private practice at the office and online through video.

Specialties include:

  • women from pre-conception through empty nest

  • perinatal mood & anxiety disorders (PMADs)

  • pregnancy/new parenthood

  • highly sensitive teens and adults

  • depression

  • anxiety/fear/panic attacks

  • lifestyle/identity

  • life transitions

  • stress

  • faith

  • grief/loss

  • trauma/PTSD (EMDR trained)

  • eating disorders (in adjunct art therapist role only)

I work from an expressive arts, strengths-based approach incorporating narrative and cognitive behavioral methods while exploring the inner thought and feeling life of clients as they share in session. Practical, actionable strategies  are used to help with visible life changes outside the sessions.

I consider myself a student of life, always pursuing personal growth and expanding my expertise professionally to meet the needs of clients. I enjoy all things DIY and creative including gardening, natural living and essential oils. I enjoy spending time in nature, listening to music, being creative with my kids and husband, and snuggling with Maggie, the family dog.

Masters in Art Therapy Counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE).

Licensed in Maryland for Art Therapy (LCPAT) and Counseling (LCPC).

Throughout my training I have worked with people of all ages and stages and countless different struggles and life issues.
